the inhabitant and visitor of the city is confronted with the physical skin of the city. the material surface encloses, joins and seperates spaces. although it occassionally permits people and things to pass through, the material surface of the city is largely unchanged by the transitory processes which happen inside the spaces it encloses.

though the corpus of the sensual hub is made of concrete, different site-specific materials can be used as a secondary skin.
